This more advanced scan of the chest and abdomen can detect things regular checkups will never detect til it is way too late.

Has anyone just had a CT scan for a regular check up and if so how much does it cost?

There was a recent report where they did a study on 10,000 smokers, 485 of them had the very earliest stages of cancer...The cancer was only discovered after using the advanced CT scan , otherwise they would have never known, 10 years later 88% of these people are still alive.

I'm getting closer 40, I'm starting to think about early detection testing.

Interesting

If you haven't had much radiation exposure before, go for it.

Personally, been exposed to way to much already and need to proceed with caution.
